Unilever removes skin-lightening terms from products

Dutch multinational consumer goods company Unilever announced this weekend that they were removing the words like ‘fairness’, ‘whitening’ and ‘lightening’ from products and changing the “Fair & Lovely” brand name. Critics say that skin-lightening products perpetuate Eurocentric standards of beauty. Legal and media analyst Lionel joins to discuss.
