Covid-19: Kochi Police Commissioner takes strict action against defaulters curbing norms

In the wake of the growing number of Covid-19 cases in the city without any known source of contacts, stringent measures are in force. The city police commissioner Vijay Sakhare is himself leading the operations and forcefully closing down all establishments not adhering to the enforced norms of social distancing. All public and private vehicles are also being thoroughly searched and defaulters are being booked for violating the provisions of the Epidemic Disease Açt. The situation in the city with regard to the spread of the disease is becoming alarming. The Commissioner warns the public that the city may have to enter a triple lockdown if things worsen.
