UK Eyes Barring Huawei 5g Equipment

The United Kingdom seems to be shifting its position toward Chinese telecom giant Huawei. Despite Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s insistence just a few months ago that the UK was confident in allowing Huawei to build the country's 5G infrastructure, UK Digital Secretary Oliver Dowden now says the National Cyber Security Centre can no longer be sure of the security of Huawei's products because of new US sanctions. This is all coming as a result of a ruling last week by the FCC that essentially labeled Huawei a national security threat.
