At the start of September Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon made her demands for another independence referendum crystal clear – based on the SNP’s expected success at the Scottish elections next May.

So far Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s strategy has been to say the one word Sturgeon will not accept: No.

But if the SNP storm the polls – can the man who boasts of respecting the will of the people really ignore what’s happening north of the border?

But what is the current strategy on both sides?
