Immediately after paying their respects to the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden huddled in the Capitol to make sure their party was united in the campaign against her successor.

Sen. Kamala Harris, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, questioned Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings remotely. Harris described Barrett's nomination as a threat to the protection of equal rights that would undo the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg's life's work.
