Pro-democracy protesters took to the streets of Bangkok on Sunday for the fifth consecutive day to demand political change despite a ban on demonstrations.

A large crowd could be seen in Asoke, one of Bangkok's main roads, singing the national anthem and chanting slogans against the government.

The rally was reportedly one of three coordinated demonstrations across the city on Sunday.

Protesters are demanding the resignation of Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, a new constitution, and the reform of the long-standing monarchy system in the country.
