Several Indian football fans were seen gathering around and taking selfies with Maradona's statue in Kolkata on Friday.
The statue was unveiled in 2017, in the presence of Maradona himself, during his visit to India.
On Thursday, fans held prayers by the statue and posed on the statue blue and white flowers, reminiscing Argentina's flag colours.
In addition, a large poster with his most memorable pictures was installed nearby.
