Massachusetts lawmakers unveiled a long-awaited compromise bill on police reform Monday, following months of closed-door negotiations that started this summer after the state House and Senate passed somewhat different versions following the George Floyd protests. To discuss, Jim Braude was joined Tuesday afternoon by state Senator Sonia Chang-Díaz, who served on the police reform conference committee, and state Representative Russell Holmes, who has long pushed for many of the changes included in the bill. (Both chambers passed the compromise bill by Tuesday evening.)
