Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report discusses the post-Electoral College Joe Biden speech, leaked audio of his call with civil rights leaders where he shared his real thoughts on the “defund the police” movement, the Joe Biden cabinet picks, and the singing of the black national anthem. First Dave discusses the cough filled speech that Joe Biden gave after being officially certified the President-elect by the Electoral College. Joe Biden’s cabinet is also taking shape and bears a striking similarity with Barack Obama’s cabinet with 12 of 16 posts being former Obama staffers. Meanwhile Ryan Grim at The Intercept has obtained Joe Biden leaked audio from a Zoom call he had with civil rights leaders where he explicitly blamed the “defund the police” slogan for the losses Democrats suffered in the House and Senate elections and warned them to not discuss police reform before the Georgia runoff election is over. In identity politics news, the Michigan Electoral College included the song “lift every voice and sing” better known as the black national anthem as a part of it’s opening ceremonies. Dave discusses the dangers of the left’s constant focusing on immutable characteristics like race over merit.
