Wednesday, January 13, 2021 - Dozens of groups rally in front of the NJ MVC administrative offices in Trenton to demand the agency begin implementing the law allowing undocumented immigrants to obtain drivers licenses. Speakers included Leticia Garban with her youngest son, Vera Candiani, with the Princeton Anti-Austerity Coalition and Rev. Karen Hernandez-Granzen, pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Trenton. Next, they marched through downtown to the War Memorial where inside, Governor Phil Murphy holds his coronavirus press briefings. New Jersey State Police directed them off the steps and across the street and away from where the governor enters the building. The protesters complied without incident.
