New post-Brexit customs regulations have driven down lorry traffic at the border and is raising new customs expenses for businesses.
To prepare for Brexit border teething problems, businesses reduced imports and exports to the EU which cut lorry traffic down by a third. However, COVID testing and additional customs admin are added business costs.
