Legislators are putting forward a bill that would mandate gender balance on all state public boards and commissions. It would also require the proportion of people of color on such bodies reflect the state’s population. One of the bill's sponsors, state representative Patricia Haddad, and YW Boston CEO Beth Chandler, who formed the Parity on Board Coalition to help advocate for the bill, joined Jim Braude to discuss.
