With Massachusetts Turning Focus To Mass Vaccine Sites, What Does It Mean For Equity Efforts?

Massachusetts has made improvements in its vaccine rollout, now ranking in the top ten states in terms of percent of population that has received a first dose – after ranking among the bottom ten states just a month ago, according to The Washington Post. However, critics point to continued racial disparities in vaccination rates, with some arguing that the state’s increased focus on prioritizing mass vaccination will cause even greater inequity. Michael Curry, president and CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers and member of Gov. Charlie Baker’s COVID Vaccine Advisory Group, joined Jim Braude to discuss.
