This Marine accused the military of mishandling her allegation of sexual assault. In a TikTok video, Dalina said she was leaving her post after her alleged perpetrator was allowed to remain on the job.

“This is exactly why f*cking females in the military f*cking kill themselves. This is exactly why nobody f*cking takes us seriously.”

A confidential survey conducted by the Pentagon found that 20,500 service members were sexually assaulted in 2018, yet only 7,623 reports were filed with the Department of Defense. And the recent deaths of soldiers Asia Graham and Vanessa Guillén have raised concerns about how the military handles sexual assault reports.

19-year-old Graham had been seeking justice for her report of sexual assault at the time of her death. And the family of 20-year-old specialist Guillén alleged she’d been sexually harassed before her body was found dismembered and burned.
