Birder's paradise: Dhanauri wetlands beauty in full glory

Why do birders flock to the Dhanauri wetland? What is so special about the place that is home to over 6,000 birds belonging to 59 species. The special attraction of Dhanauri from around the globe is Sarus Crane. The Sarus crane is the world's tallest flying bird. This crane, when standing, is as tall as a man. These elegant birds are predominantly gray, with long, pale red legs. The Times of India spent an entire day with birders to see the beauty of nature as well as understand the importance of preserving such wetlands.
