Fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of unintentional second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. The verdict follows testimony from more than 40 witnesses. It comes more than 10 months after Chauvin was seen kneeling on Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes.

President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris spoke following Chauvin’s conviction.
