Summer Bridge is a one-week leadership and academic enrichment program designed to serve young people from historically marginalized communities in New Jersey free of charge. However, since hosting students overnight in small cabins seemed too great a risk given the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, PBC staff reconfigured the curriculum and logistics and developed a plan to bring the Summer Bridge Program to participants in schoolyards and local parks in their own communities this summer in Trenton and Newark. A site visit to the Blairstown Campus is included for groups each Friday, where participants will enjoy a day in nature, kayaking, hiking, and working together to complete challenge course and adventure learning activities. This video features footage from Great Oaks Legacy Charter School in Newark and The Princeton-Blairstown Center in Blairstown.
