The Taliban has been preventing families with legal papers from leaving Afghanistan, meaning empty planes have been taking off from Kabul airport.

Some British citizens with valid passports have waited over a month to board a plane and Taliban soldiers are clamping down on journalists' coverage of airports and the families desperate to flee.

Sky's Special Correspondent Alex Crawford has been speaking to some of them, and sent this report from Kabul.

WARNING: Alex's report contains footage of a man being beaten and dragged behind a motorbike.
