President Ram Nath Kovind will lead the celebrations of Constitution Day on Friday at the Central Hall of Parliament House. After the speech of the President, the nation will join him live, in reading the Preamble of the Constitution.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the distinguished gathering and participate in the programmes that will be organised in the Parliament and Vigyan Bhawan.

Meanwhile, the Opposition parties including Congress have announced that they are boycotting the Constitution Day celebrations in the Central Hall of the Parliament on Friday. Last night, Congress was reportedly in touch with several leaders of opposition parties to extend support in the boycott. However, confirmations have arrived that the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP ) are among those who will give the event a miss.
