A burst water main in Los Angeles has caused chaos on the city's university campus and forced the closure of Sunset Boulevard.
Video footage from a helicopter appeared to show a huge hole blown in the boulevard, next to Marymount High School in Westwood, a short distance from several UCLA buildings.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said three people had to be rescued from parking lots, after the incident at around 3.30pm, local time.
It was estimated that as much as 36,000 gallons of water a minute flooded out of the broken 30 inch main, according to CBS Local News.
