Slovakia: Teachers protest in Bratislava as Slovakia begins EU Council presidency

Approximately 1,000 teachers from across Slovakia gathered in the capital, Bratislava, Friday, to protest against the education policies of Prime Minister Robert Fico. Friday also marked the start of Slovakia's presidency of the EU Council.

SOT, Vladimir Crman, teacher (Slovakian): "We all know about government corruption scandals. But there still is no money for teachers. Shame!"

SOT, Vladimir Crman, teacher (Slovakian): "If there is no change until September we will continue the strike."
