One year ago, Russian opposition leader and former prime minister Boris Nemtsov was gunned down by an assassin within sight of the Kremlin. On Saturday, thousands of people gathered in Moscowto remember their opposition hero. Nemtsov had been a staunch critic of President Vladimir Putin. He was shot on Feb. 27, 2015 while walking his girlfriend across a bridge to his home. Nemtsov was set to lead a march in protest of Vladimir Putin just days after he was shot. He was also schedule to release a highly critical report on how Russia's military had handled Ukraine. Ukraine.
