Former IMF chief Dominque Strauss-Kahn gave evidence in a French court on Tuesday, having been charged with aggravated pimping . Sounding quite blasé, Strauss-Kahn defended his libertine ways and participation in orgies. But, he added, "there were only 12 parties in total — that is four per year over three years." Commenting on how he handled stress, he said, "I had a very hectic life, with just a few outlets for recreation, and these sessions were part of that." He added, "I had other things to do,” such as pursuing his political ambition and "saving the world." Strauss-Kahn explained, "During libertine afternoons like these, things happen pretty quickly. It often happens that I have sex with women I’ve never met." As the former IMF chief arrived to testify on Tuesday at his trial, three topless women from the protest group Femen jumped on his car.
