Published on 5 Jan 2017, 14:54
Thursday, Obama will be holding his final event to discuss the important issue of campus rape in the United States. The final report of Obama’s progress in decreasing campus sexual assault during his presidency will also be released that day by the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault. The task force was first launched by President Obama in 2014. Student activism about the issue of sexual assault had increased throughout the country. Advocates of the issue say they will miss Obama’s involvement, because of how apprehensive they are of how Donald Trump will handle the issue.
