As the Department of Transportation launches an investigation into a violent bumping of a passenger on an overbooked United Airlines flight, a third apology was issued by United CEO Oscar Munoz. In his apology, Munoz called the violent treatment of the passenger "a truly horrific event." He went on to say, "I deeply apologize" and "no one should ever be mistreated this way." United is continuing to face outrage on social media, including in China where many felt race was a factor.
