ESPN will reportedly lay off up to 100 employees, potentially including on-air personalities. the layoffs are expected to come after Thanksgiving and will target on-air hosts, executives, producers, and digital and technology staffers. If reports are accurate, it means that in the past two years, ESPN has laid off 500 staffers. in October 2015, the sports channel laid off 300 employees. in April 2017, it laid off another 100 workers. Like other channels, ESPN has suffered from decreasing viewership in recent years. In six years, viewership has dropped from 100.13 million to 87.5 million.
