Archaeologists have unearthed an Egyptian village believed to be older than the pharaohs.
According to CNN, the village dates back over 7,000 years, to the Neolithic era.
This makes it one of the oldest-known villages ever discovered.
The village was found in the Tell el-Samara area of the Dakahlia governorate, north of Cairo.
A team of Egyptian and French archaeologists located several storage silos in the area.
Fragments of pottery, stone tools, animal bones and plant remains were also found.
The country's ministry of antiquities announced the discovery in a statement on Facebook.
