According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, British Prime Minister Theresa received a show of support from her Conservative Party at a meeting in parliament, taking the spotlight away from rumor of an imminent leadership challenge over her Brexit strategy. One lawmaker who attended the meeting reportedly said, "It was a good meeting. There is an appetite among the majority of the party to pull together because the risks are too high.” Reuters reports that May has upset both supporters of Brexit and pro-EU lawmakers by failing to clinch a deal at an EU summit last week and proposing a post-Brexit transition period to help ease the stalled negotiations.
